How a product is stored and prepared decides what state the ingredient is in by the time it reaches the skin. This page explains why that is and what it means in everyday use.<\/p>\n<h2>Why peptides are delicate<\/h2>\n<p>A peptide is a short chain of amino acids joined by a peptide bond. That bond is not indestructible: moisture, heat and time can break it. On top of that, some peptides are sensitive to light, to oxygen and to the pH of their surroundings.<\/p>\n<p>With peptides bound to a trace element, such as the copper tripeptide described in <a href=\"https:\/\/sorapeptides.com\/en\/ghk-cu-copper-peptide\/\">GHK-Cu, the copper peptide<\/a>, the stability of the peptide and metal complex itself matters as well.<\/p>\n<h2>Why some products arrive as a concentrate<\/h2>\n<p>An ingredient that is not stable in solution for months can be packed in dry form and prepared immediately before use. That is why some scalp care products arrive as a concentrate with a liquid for reconstitution rather than as a ready-made solution.<\/p>\n<p>The practical consequence is that such a product is not prepared in advance, just in case. It is prepared when the routine begins.<\/p>\n<h2>Before opening<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Store at room temperature unless the label says otherwise.<\/li>\n<li>Out of direct sunlight. A windowsill and a shelf above a radiator are the worst places in the house.<\/li>\n<li>In the original packaging. The box is not only packaging, it shields from light.<\/li>\n<li>Out of the bathroom if temperature and humidity swing a lot there.<\/li>\n<li>Out of reach of children.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>After preparation<\/h2>\n<p>Once the concentrate is reconstituted, a different storage regime applies. It is stated on the label of the specific product and differs from product to product.<\/p>\n<p>The general rule: a prepared solution is kept closed, under the conditions the manufacturer states, and used within the stated period. The period after opening is not the same as the shelf life of an unopened pack.<\/p>\n<h2>Signs that something is wrong<\/h2>\n<p>Stop using it if you notice:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>a change in the colour of the solution<\/li>\n<li>cloudiness or particles that do not dissolve<\/li>\n<li>a change in smell<\/li>\n<li>damaged packaging or a cap that no longer closes<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>None of these is fixed by shaking or warming.<\/p>\n<h2>Hygiene when handling<\/h2>\n<p>Peptide products for the scalp are applied to skin, so cleanliness is part of using them correctly.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Wash your hands before preparing and before applying.<\/li>\n<li>Do not touch the inside of the cap or the tip of the applicator with your fingers.<\/li>\n<li>The applicator is for personal use and is not shared with anyone. Room temperature, darkness, the original packaging and respect for the period after opening are the minimum.
