Frequently asked questions
Peptide hair set
What is the SORA peptide hair set?
A cosmetic kit for scalp care. It holds a vial of peptide serum with GHK-Cu, bacteriostatic water for preparing the solution and a Hydra Needle microneedle applicator.
Is this a medicine?
No. This is a cosmetic product for external use. It is not a medicine, it does not treat anything and it does not replace medical advice.
Which peptides are in the formula?
GHK-Cu (Copper Tripeptide-1), biotinoyl tripeptide-1 and acetyl tetrapeptide-3. The full INCI list is stated on the pack. More on these ingredients in Peptides in cosmetics.
Why is the serum prepared rather than supplied ready made?
Peptides are delicate ingredients and are not stable in solution for long. That is why they are packed in a form prepared immediately before the routine starts. More in Storing and handling peptides.
USE
How is it used?
In three steps: the peptide concentrate is reconstituted with the bacteriostatic water, the prepared solution is transferred into the applicator, and the applicator is pressed gently over a dry, clean scalp. It takes about a minute.
How often?
Once a day, on clean and dry scalp skin.
Does it hurt?
The applicator is pressed gently, never forced. Most people feel light pressure and a brief tingling. If you feel pain or irritation appears, stop using it.
When should a difference be expected?
Hair care is a slow process and the look of hair is judged over months, not days. This is a cosmetic preparation and it promises no result.
Can I use it with other preparations?
If you already use a preparation prescribed by a doctor, ask them about combining the two. Do not apply cosmetic preparations to the same spot at the same time; leave a gap between applications.
When is it not used?
Do not apply to damaged, inflamed or irritated skin, to sores, eczema or a scalp infection, or if you are on therapy that affects blood clotting. The full list is in Dermaroller and microneedling.
PACK AND STORAGE
How long does one pack last?
According to the pack, the kit is intended for 30 days of use.
Is there a refill pack without the applicator?
Not at the moment. When the kit runs out, a new pack is bought.
How is it stored?
At room temperature, out of direct sunlight and out of reach of children. Storage conditions after the solution is prepared are stated on the label.
How is the applicator maintained?
Rinse it after every use and leave it to dry, following the manufacturer instructions. The applicator is for personal use and is not shared with other people.
HEALTH
My hair is falling out suddenly. Is this the answer?
Sudden and heavy hair loss is a reason to see a dermatologist, not to reach for a cosmetic product. The cause can be iron deficiency, a thyroid disorder or one of the conditions described in Alopecia.
Can I use it during pregnancy or while breastfeeding?
Speak to your doctor before using any preparation during that period.
What is PP405 and what does it have to do with this product?
PP405 is an experimental molecule in clinical trials. It is not an approved medicine, it is not available and it is not a peptide. We explain it in a separate article, PP405, what it is and how far along it is.
SORA FOCUS PEPTIDE COMPLEX
What is the SORA Focus peptide complex?
SORA Focus is a three bottle kit for nasal format. It holds a vial with a combination of Semax, Pinealon, Orexin-A and Selank, a bottle of bacteriostatic water and an empty bottle with a nasal spray head.
Is this a medicine?
It should not be seen as a medicine or as a substitute for examination, diagnosis or prescribed therapy. The ingredients are discussed in a research context, and the data on their use is not the same across every condition and every route of administration.
Which peptides are in the formula?
Semax, Pinealon, Orexin-A and Selank. Each belongs to a different line of research connected to the nervous system, attention and wakefulness. The full formula is on the SORA Focus peptide complex page.
Why are the peptides and the solvent kept separate?
Peptides can be more delicate in solution than in dry form. That is why the peptide vial, the bacteriostatic water and the bottle with the spray head are kept apart until preparation according to the product label.
USE
What is the intended route of use?
The product format is intended for nasal use with the supplied bottle and spray head. Preparation, amount and frequency should not be decided from memory but strictly according to the label and the instructions supplied with the product.
Can I decide the amount myself?
No. With peptides the ratio of ingredients, the concentration and the route of administration all matter. Do not increase the amount or change the way it is used based on other people experiences.
Is it used when the nose is blocked or irritated?
A blocked nose, bleeding, inflammation or marked irritation can change how the spray settles and can irritate the lining further. In that situation use should be postponed and a doctor consulted if needed.
When should a difference be expected?
There is no guaranteed timeframe and no guaranteed effect. The data on individual ingredients comes from different studies, often in particular populations, and does not confirm in advance what this combination does in a healthy person.
Can I use it alongside other preparations or medicines?
If you are on therapy affecting the nervous system, sleep, wakefulness, hormones or blood pressure, speak to your doctor before combining. Do not change prescribed therapy on your own.
When is it not used?
It is not used in case of hypersensitivity to any ingredient, on damaged or inflamed nasal lining, or without prior medical advice in chronic illness or regular therapy. It is not intended for children.
PACK AND STORAGE
What is in the pack?
The kit holds three parts: a vial with a combination of Semax, Pinealon, Orexin-A and Selank, a bottle of bacteriostatic water and an empty bottle with a nasal spray head.
Does the spray bottle come filled?
No. The spray bottle comes empty and is part of the system for preparing and using the product nasally.
How is it stored before preparation?
Keep the original pack under the conditions stated on the label, protected from direct light, heat and moisture, and out of reach of children. Do not use the product if the pack is damaged.
How is it stored after preparation?
After preparation, follow the storage period and temperature stated on the product label. Do not use the solution if you notice a change in colour, cloudiness, particles or damage to the packaging.
HEALTH
Is it intended to treat ADHD, narcolepsy or other conditions?
No. The product is not intended for the diagnosis or treatment of ADHD, narcolepsy, sleep disorders or any other health condition. For problems with attention, marked daytime sleepiness or sudden changes in cognitive function, see a doctor.
Can it be used during pregnancy or while breastfeeding?
It should not be used during pregnancy or breastfeeding without explicit medical advice. There is not enough reliable data on this combination to confirm safety in those periods.
How strong is the evidence on Semax, Pinealon, Orexin-A and Selank?
The evidence is uneven. Semax and Orexin-A have limited human research under specific conditions, for Selank there is a smaller number of mostly Russian clinical reports, while for Pinealon preclinical and early data dominate. Results for individual ingredients do not prove an effect for their fixed combination.
SORA POTENCY / LIBIDO COMPLEX
What is the SORA Potency / Libido Complex?
SORA Potency / Libido Complex is a three bottle kit for sublingual or oromucosal format. It holds a vial with a combination of PT-141, Kisspeptin-10 and oxytocin, 5 ml of buffered solvent and an empty 5 ml bottle with a dropper.
Is this a medicine?
It should not be seen as a medicine or as a substitute for examination, diagnosis or prescribed therapy. A drop in libido and changes in sexual function can have several causes that need professional assessment.
Which peptides are in the formula?
PT-141, Kisspeptin-10 and oxytocin. These peptides belong to different signalling systems linked to sexual desire, the reproductive hormonal axis and emotional processing. The detailed formula is on the SORA Potency / Libido Complex page.
Why are the peptides and the solvent kept separate?
Peptides can be delicate once dissolved. That is why the peptide vial, the buffered sublingual or oromucosal solvent and the dropper bottle are packed separately until preparation according to the product label.
USE
What is the intended route of use?
The format is intended for application to the lining under the tongue or inside the mouth using the dropper. Preparation, amount and frequency must follow the label and the instructions supplied with the product.
Is this the same as CBD oil?
No. The only similarity is the dropper bottle and the way it is applied. This kit contains no CBD oil and has an entirely different formula.
Can I decide the number of drops myself?
No. The number of drops should not be decided independently or increased based on someone else experience. With peptides, concentration and route of administration significantly affect exposure.
When should an effect be expected?
There is no guaranteed timeframe and no guaranteed effect. Research on individual ingredients uses different formulations and routes of administration, so those results cannot be transferred directly to this combination.
Can I use it with erectile dysfunction medicines or hormone therapy?
Speak to your doctor before combining it with medicines for erectile dysfunction, hormone therapy, blood pressure medication or other preparations. Do not change prescribed therapy on your own.
When is it not used?
It is not used in case of hypersensitivity to the ingredients, or without prior medical advice in cardiovascular disease, uncontrolled blood pressure, hormonal disorders or regular therapy. It is not intended for children.
PACK AND STORAGE
What is in the pack?
The kit holds a vial with PT-141, Kisspeptin-10 and oxytocin, a 5 ml bottle of buffered sublingual or oromucosal solvent and an empty 5 ml bottle with a dropper.
What is the buffered sublingual or oromucosal solvent?
It is a solvent whose buffer helps hold the solution at an appropriate pH. It belongs to this product kit and should not be replaced with water or another solvent.
Does the dropper bottle come filled?
No. The dropper bottle comes empty and is used as part of the system for preparing and applying the product to the oral mucosa.
How is it stored?
Before and after preparation, follow the conditions, temperature and period stated on the label. Keep out of reach of children and do not use the solution if you notice a change in colour, cloudiness, particles or damage to the packaging.
HEALTH
Is this a treatment for erectile dysfunction or low libido?
No. The product is not a treatment for erectile dysfunction, low libido or a hormonal disorder. Changes in sexual function can be linked to hormones, medication, blood vessels, stress or other health conditions.
Is PT-141 an approved medicine?
Bremelanotide, that is PT-141, is approved in the United States only as a particular subcutaneous injectable formulation for acquired generalised hypoactive sexual desire disorder in certain premenopausal women. That approval does not extend to this sublingual complex, to men or to improving sexual performance.
Can it be used during pregnancy or while breastfeeding?
It should not be used during pregnancy or breastfeeding without explicit medical advice. There is not enough reliable data on this combination to confirm safety in those periods.
